Getting Orbbec Astra or RealSense working

Hello everyone!

It's been almost two years now that I bought a Orbbec Astra to replace the Kinect 360 on my InMoov robot.

Why? Because it is smaller, it can "see" at a closer range and most of all, it is powered via the USB 2 plug.

Finished the huge power cords and power supply just for having a Kinect.

 

Now that being said, how do I make this thing work in MyRobotLab?


When InMoov turns into a dog

When Richard Ryerson (RobotGuy6)  takes two upper InMoov body to build a dog.

Cute name: FrankenDog according to Richard.

Richard is running EZ. I was lucky to stumble on this video, because there is no mention of InMoov on YouTube.

Okay now lets see if it opens a door and dance like the Boston Dynamics dogs!

Yolo in conjonction with Ultrasonic sensor

So, I was working on a script to get Yolo starting only if an object is presented at the correct distance (1.0meter) using a Ultrasonic sensor.

This works nice.

Now is there a filter I could use to eliminate the background before Yolo analyses the picture?

@moz4r, I solved the neopixel issue by adding an extra sleep(4) at the beginning of my script.

Anthony got some super beers for all of us, but we forgot to drink them, so busy we were talking.

Kinect 360 Google Chrome and WebKitRecognition

Hello, hello, hello,
I personaly do not use the mics of the kinect, but someone on the InMoov forum is having the same issue.
So I am reporting an issue regarding using the microphone of the kinect 360 with Chrome and Webkitrecognition.
Using the Kinect360 with Windows10, SDK 1.8, MyRobotLab 2693,  gets a "no microphone found" in Chrome.
Although the kinect microphone is correctly detected and selected in Google Chrome.

Hello everyone! It's been months since I didn't log in to MRL shoutbox.
 
If I log it's because I need a little help on something that is frustrating me since last night.
I am designing a new hand with much better sensors and sensitivity. AH3503+ micro magnet 2x1mm

InMoov knee actuation

This my latest refined knee model which is running with the service DIY Servo.

I love that service by the way!! Well let say, I just love MyRobotLab!

It's incredible the evolution it has under gone since I started this project.

Before everyone starts to break it after the Manticore, I am asking Santa to implement velocity in that service to see what is smoothness of movement on payload, and if it can still control with enough power.
